Royal Rumble 2019 Location Announced, Impact Live Events, Rousey

The Royal Rumble will finally be taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this Sunday night. While several fans have been anticipating an announcement confirming the site of next year’s WrestleMania event, WWE has instead decided to announce the location for the Royal Rumble in 2019. WWE has confirmed that Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona will host the event next year. The baseball stadium seats around 48,500 people. Other WWE events for that week, such as NXT Takeover, Raw, and Smackdown, will be taking place at Phoenix’s Talking Stick Resort Arena. The next Royal Rumble pay-per-view takes place on January 27th, 2019.

The show is expected to feature top names such as Alberto El Patron, Matt Sydal, Eli Drake, Allie, and Austin Aries. Ronda Rousey’s arrival in WWE is all but confirmed at this point. Recent reports from the Wrestling Observer, and videos from TMZ showing Rousey and Triple H having meetings, have only fueled speculation on her rumored debut even further. During a recent media call for NXT Takeover: Philadelphia, Triple H himself commented on Rousey’s possible WWE arrival. He stated that they have had discussions, and Rousey has also been training for pro wrestling for four years now, but the two sides are still extremely busy with other projects. As a result, Triple H claimed that no deal between Rousey and WWE has been finalized as of yet.
