During every holiday season, the USA Network will usually dedicate one week in December to showing WWE programming each day. As revealed during Raw last night, the tradition will continue starting next Monday night. Raw will air as usual on December 11th, followed by Smackdown the following night. On Wednesday night at 7pm ET, NXT will air on USA Network for the very first time. Tribute to the Troops will air on December 14th at 8pm ET, followed by the USA series Damnation guest starring Smackdown’s Harper. “WWE Week” will then conclude with the network airing the Journey 2: The Mysterious Island film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at 6:30 ET.
As reported yesterday, WWE is planning on introducing live events specifically for the cruiserweights featured on Raw and 205 Live. All of the cruiserweight talent will be featured on the shows, and the company appears to be testing out the new touring brand with a limited live event schedule at the moment. The first few live events have been revealed courtesy of PWInsider, and 205 Live’s first live event will be held on Friday 1/19/18 at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island. Only two more events are locked in so far: a show on Saturday 1/20/18 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts, and on Sunday 1/21/18 at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
WWE is getting ready for their annual Tribute to the Troops show, which will be airing on the WWE Network next Thursday night. The 15th Tribute to the Troops event in the company’s history is currently being taped on the USS Dewey in San Diego, California, and the show will be airing on the USA Network on December 14th as a two-hour long special. The event will have a different look from other WWE shows this year due to the unique outdoor setting. Several WWE roster members have tweeted out images of what the setup looks like this year. Spoilers for the show will likely be posted later on tonight.
