Matt Hardy recently took to social media to thank fans for giving him a heartwarming “Send Off” at the WWE live event on Sunday night in Rochester, New York.
Hardy worked alongside Bray Wyatt against The B-Team and The Revival in a three-way tag-team match with the RAW Tag-Team Championships on-the-line. The match saw The B-Team retain and afterwards, Hardy and Wyatt received a standing ovation as they stood in the middle of the ring throwing up the trademark Hardy symbol.
As noted, Hardy’s in-ring future has been up in the air as of late due to injuries. He is scheduled to take some time off to undergo an extensive rehab program in North Carolina, and will then decide his future in the ring. Hardy has been shadowing WWE producers as a transition to a behind-the-scenes role in WWE could be in his future.
“Thank you for a WONDERFUL & HEARTWARMING send off tonight, #WWERochester,” wrote Hardy via his official Twitter page on Sunday evening. “I appreciate you.”
