The first 15 entrants into the 2019 PWG Battle of Los Angeles have officially been announced, with All Elite Wrestling’s Joey Janela, Ring of Honor’s Brody King, and lucha libre star Barbaro Cavernario all joining the field this week.
PWG fans – and really everybody paying attention, at this point – should be no stranger to the “Bad Boy” Joey Janela, who made his debut at BOLA ’17 and made it to the semifinals of BOLA ’18. As for Brody King, the big man of Villain Enterprises made his debut with the promotion in early 2018, and has already had opportunities at both the PWG Championship and tag team championships.
This year’s tournament will actually be Barbaro Cavernario’s long-awaited PWG debut. He’s been on a lot of people’s radar for quite some time, climbing up the ranks in CMLL for years now, and is the reigning Mexican National Light Heavyweight Champion.
