SPOILERS: Impact Hall Of Famer Announces Return To The Ring

The following report contains MAJOR SPOILERS for upcoming episodes of Impact Wrestling television set to air this March. Proceed at your own risk.

Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Gail Kim will be returning to the ring for at least one more match. The 41-year-old star made the announcement at Sunday night’s television taping event in Las Vegas, during an in-ring segment with Tessa Blanchard that resulted in a physical altercation.

Kim, the first ever Knockouts Champion and a pioneer for women’s wrestling during the 2000s, has been retired for a little over a year, wrestling her last match at the 2017 Bound for Glory pay-per-view, successfully winning the title for a record-breaking seventh time.

Since then, the Canadian legend has been acting as a backstage producer for the company with occasional on-air roles. Tension arose between her and Tessa Blanchard in late 2018 and exploded at last month’s Impact Homecoming pay-per-view, where Kim ultimately cost Blanchard the Knockouts title as the special guest referee in her match with Taya Valkyrie.

The two will face off in an upcoming singles match, although the destination is not yet clear. There are two options currently on the table that make sense, with Impact United We Stand taking place in New York during WrestleMania weekend, and Impact Rebellion returning to Toronto, Ontario, Canada later that same month.
