Asuka Returns to Smackdown Live

After suffering back-to-back losses to both members of The IIconics over the last two weeks, Naomi found herself at the hands of a 2-on-1 beatdown this week on Smackdown Live.

To the surprise of everyone, a recently absent “Empress” made her return to television, as Asuka rushed to Naomi’s aid and took out The IIconics with a series of brutal kicks and suplexes. This was the first time the former NXT Women’s Champion has been seen since late July, following her loss to Carmella in a bout for the Smackdown Women’s title at Extreme Rules.

Paige Threatens to Fire The Miz

The Miz and Maryse were seen ducking Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella at every turn this week on Smackdown Live, after last week’s altercation ended with the leader of the Bella Army dropping both the so-called A-Listers on their butts.

Blue Brand GM Paige has officially reached her breaking point with the reality television power couple (no, the OTHER reality television power couple) and actually threatened to fire The Miz if he didn’t stick around and compete tonight on Smackdown.
