According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, below is the updated card for Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory PPV taking place on October 14th at The Melrose Ballroom in New York City:
Impact World Title Match:
-Austin Aries vs. Johnny Impact
-Pentagon, Fenix and Brian Cage vs. Sami Callihan and OVE
Low Attendance at Last Impact Tapings
In other Impact news, The Observer reports that the last set of Impact Wrestling tapings, which took place this past Sunday and Monday at The Rebel Complex in Toronto, were attended by roughly 350 people on the first night, but that number could be lower. A fan in attendance for night two counted roughly 80 people, but that number was not reported by an Impact official.
In order to make the shows appear to be well-attended on TV, Impact reportedly moved all the fans to one area and shot all the reaction shots at one time.
Recent Angle Booked to Counter WWE?
Finally, the LAX vs OGz Street Fight which airs on Impact tonight was said to have generated rave reviews after it was taped. The Observer notes the match was shot possibly to counter WWE, as Impact officials know WWE would not air a Street Fight of this nature, as they are usually booked for comedy in WWE.
