The Voice: Bette Midler Serving as Mentor for Team Blake

Next season of The Voice will have a “divine” visitor.

Bette Midler will drop in on season 11 of the singing competition, serving as a mentor for Blake Shelton’s team. The country star wanted fans to guess the pick on Thursday evening. “Well I was hoping to have a photo to go with this but here’s the deal. I want y’all to guess who my mentor for this season is. Go!!!”

It took all of three minutes before he announced it was Midler. “Can’t keep a secret around here. Yes!! It’s @BetteMidler!!! She is the wind beneath my wings,” he added.

Midler later enthusiastically commented on the news. “Yes it’s true. I am a mentor for #teamblake on @NBCTheVoice. I had a great time and we had a hell of a team. Airs in October.”

Joan Jett, Charlie Puth, and Sammy Hagar are also reportedly joining the show as mentors for next season.

Season 11 of The Voice begins Sept. 19 on NBC.
