The PSG-specific media outlet Paris United are reporting that Frenchman Arsène Wenger had dinner with the capital club’s manager Thomas Tuchel 2 weeks ago in Paris.
Wenger has been linked to a position in the Les Parisiens hierarchy in recent weeks, and met with the German, during which he congratulated Tuchel for his integration of PSG’s youth academy prospects in the first team.
The two managers also discussed Tanguy N’Dombélé, according to the report, whose attributes match exactly what Tuchel is seeking in the midfield in order to bolster this part of PSG’s squad. Tuchel has been following the Frenchman since he begun at Amiens, when he was still in charge of Dortmund, and tried to sign him.
PSG’s Sporting Director Antero Henrique and his right-hand man Luis Ferrer had already met with the player’s entourage in an attempt to sign him last March, but the meeting was not fruitful.
Furthermore, last August, Wenger is understood to have spent 10 days in Qatar, during which he met PSG owner and Emir of Qatar Tamim ben Hamid Al Thani personally.
