Marseille boss Igor Tudor has given an injury update ahead of the Olympian’s do-or-die Champions League clash against Tottenham. The Croatian revealed that Éric Bailly has trained with the rest of the Marseille squad following an injury sustained in the Classique against Paris Saint-Germain several weeks ago, as Pape Gueye is yet to train ahead of the fixture – as transcribed by L’Équipe.
Can you give us an update on the state of your squad and its mentality ahead of Tottenham?
Eric Bailly trained with the team, not Pape Gueye. Tomorrow is a great opportunity, with a beautiful end goal, it would be a nice reward for the boys who have done well so far. We’ve had five good matches, we come from the fourth pool in the draw, we started with two defeats (0-2 at Tottenham, September 7, 0-1 against Frankfurt on September 13), it is beautiful to be able to play a decisive match in such a strong group, for an outsider like us.

Nobody wins with will: we will have to play a perfect game in both areas, not missing anything. I talked about the game of the year, because it has a particular importance. A win and we go through, that would be incredible considering the history of the previous campaigns in the Champions League.
