According to what is reported by RMC Sport, the Disciplinary Committee of the league imposed a sanction against Marseille on Wednesday as their supporters were found guilty of using pyrotechnic devices to instigate the turmoil.

In the aftermath of the sanction, there will be a “partial closure for a match at the south corner” of the Vélodrome because of the “behaviour of the supporters”.

The report claims that OM should play their game against Lens in a full-capacity stadium, and the sanction should apply to the game either against OL on November 6 or against Lorient on November 14. OM face Eintracht Frankfurt in their next Champions League game and will host Tottenham in the same competition on November 1.
