As reported by Fabrice Hawkins, PSG and Everton have yet to find an agreement over the transfer of Paris’ Senegalese international midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
The 32-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Paris this summer and is one of 11 players the club are looking to sell to generate much-needed funds before September. Interest in Gueye’s services has been stronger than most on that list with the player turning down a chance to join Galatasaray already this window as well as rejecting a move to newly-promoted Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Everton remain clear favourites to sign the midfielder and are reportedly ready to spend up to €10m to secure his signature. Meanwhile, the recent arrival of fellow central midfielder Amadou Onana (20) from Lille does not affect Everton’s keenness to sign Gueye, as coach Frank Lampard is planning to sign both players.
Despite no agreement being found thus far, Hawkins reports that Everton are not letting go of the deal and will continue to push.
