As reported by Le Parisien, PSG are hoping to conclude a deal to sign Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca by the end of this week.
Unless there’s a drastic change, say the paper, the Italian forward is expected to be PSG’s next signing after director Antero Henrique, who has been taking the lead on talks, flew to Milan to finalise the deal which is likely to reach €45m excluding bonuses. The player, meanwhile, has had an agreement over personal terms with PSG for several weeks.

As of last week, PSG were still €15m short of Sassuolo’s valuation but Paris seemed to have upped their offer with the Italian side looking for €50m. The hope is that PSG will have the player on board before their tour of Japan starts later this week.
The 23-year-old Italian international (seven caps, no goals) managed 16 league goals last season in 36 games, helping his team finish eleventh in Serie A after joining from Genoa last summer.
