William Saliba, 4 – Had no awareness of Dembélé’s run for a crucial second OL goal, which was perhaps the only moment of real quality in the game, tracking clever attacking movement on crosses is still a weakness in his defending. Although mistakes were rare, his passing was ineffective too.

Pape Gueye, 5 – As he often does, Gueye added stability and solidity to a sometimes haphazard OM midfield and he did a good job in covering for Guendouzi in his absence here, especially before half time, although he did tire badly after half time and was withdrawn early.

Dimitri Payet, 6 – He’s played with such authority and focus in recent games and his passing and vision was again supreme at times here. Much like the Feyenoord game in the week, he was unlucky not to tally an assist or two.
Arkadiusz Milik, 5 – He can be anonymous in these sorts of games but he did offer a goal threat before half time here and was thwarted by Lukeba and Emerson. He should have done better with Gerson’s low cross but did enough for 5 overall.

Anthony Lopes, 5
Malo Gusto, 6 – His talent is undoubted and Bosz may yet be rewarded by being so persistent with him but he was again hit and miss here. Although his movement and touch are a clear upgrade on Dubois, his decision making on the ball remains questionable and potentially damaging. However, one confident run and cross brilliantly set up the second.
Jérôme Boateng, 5
Castello Lukeba, 8 – The 19-year-old enjoyed a physical battle with Milik but more than held his own and did just enough on three occasions to prevent the Polish striker opening the scoring before the break. He was on hand to bundle home the opener too as his display eventually proved to be the difference between the teams.

Bradley Barcola, 3 – The 19-year-old is yet to impress in fleeting first team outings and his nervy start as a pro continued here as he barely left the fringes of the game. He was presented with a handful of chances to influence proceedings but wasted them all.
Moussa Dembélé, 6 – His twisting, deft near post header made it 2-0 but he only just sneaks a 6 here after some clumsy forward play besides. His lazy swing of a leg that blazed a huge chance over despite being free at the back post was a low point. Although his threat grew as the game wore on.
