Speaking in an interview with Téléfoot, Lyon President Aulas discussed next week’s monster clash with Barcelona, the summer transfer window, Bruno Génésio’s future and more.
On the manager situation at Lyon:
Bruno (Génésio) has spoken: he said that his priority is to stay. So that’s a good thing. My decision is not taken, otherwise I would have told him. But I will have a meeting with Bruno before Barcelona to tell him exactly what I think. So that we give ourselves all the assets to go to Barcelona with no unnecessary pressure… In any case, Bruno is a good manager.

On the summer transfer window:
We will only allow one player who has interest leave. I don’t know which one yet, because I think a lot of them will have interest… Now, the conditions of the offers, the desires of the players are elements that always have to be taken into account. In my 32 years of experience, I have always known that it is not automatically my own desires that decide transfers.
On Nabil Fékir:
We made a big, big effort to convince Nabil, our world champion, coming from the academy, to stay.
On if it is easier to sell Memphis Depay than Houssem Aouar:
That would obviously be easier, and Houssem is scheduled to be part of the European champion team that is sure to be from Lyon in the years to come (talking about winning a continental club competition).
On the upcoming clash with Barcelona:
The ideal scenario is to score a goal, that Nabil might score. With the presence of the other 4 or 3 attackers, I am genuinely convinced that it is through our attack that we will trouble Barça. Scoring a goal quite early on and then resisting later.
