Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG are actively courting Marseille winger and captain Dimitri Payet, as first reported by Sky Sports.

The Chinese side would double Payet’s wages to over £200k a week, but at the time of writing have yet make a formal offer to Ligue 1 side OM.

La Provence report that the player is not interested in the move, viewing the idea of leaving Marseille in a period of crisis as something he wouldn’t do. He intends to stay and see OM turn their form around.
