Premier League side Arsenal will seek to complete a deal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette by the end of next week.
Following a formal offer to Lyon worth €50m, the two clubs will meet next weekend in an attempt to close a deal, with President Aulas holding out for €60m.
Arsène Wenger has spoken directly to the player, who had initially decided that he wanted to join Atletico Madrid this summer before the club was banned from recruitment following a decision from the Court of Arbitration of Sport.
Arsenal offer Lacazette a chance at Premier League football and, according to L’Équipe, is his current preferred destination.
