Visa Denied, 86-YO Spanish Nun Leaves Odisha Village After 50 Years Of Social Service

An 86-year-old Spanish nun was returned to her country after the government reportedly rejected her visa renewal application. This caused widespread disenchantment among residents of a village in Gajapati district of Odisha.

According to Odisha TV, Sister Enedina was providing health-related services to locals of the Aliganda village for almost five decades. After her visa application was rejected, she was informed on August 11 that she had ten days to leave the country.

As per reports, she left to Spain from New Delhi on August 20.
