Ozkan Mutlugil, a former national volleyball player was elected as the new president of Turkish Volleyball Federation on October 2, 2012.

His Father Ozcan Mutlugil, was also a former vice president of volleyball federation to legendary president Naci Bayamlıoglu. Former president Erol U.Karabıyık was elected 2 times previously. Out of 183 votes Mutlugil got 100 votes and became the new president.

 

In his first speech he stressed that Women’s volleyball has proven itself but Men’s still has a long way to go and they will be spending more of their time to take Turkish Men’s volleyball to an upper level.
