Rzeszow could not stop Belchatow

Skra Belchatow is in form, M. Wlazly was the star of game in Rzesow. Polish champion needed only three set to win this prestige duel.

Resovia Rzeszow – Skra Belchatow  0-3 (15:25, 16:25, 27:29) MVP: Mariusz Wlazly
It seemed to be a hit. Instead of this, we had a quite boring show. During this match, we could notice that Mariusz Wlazly is coming back to his great form and has a chance to be main spiker of national team again. Players of Resovia strongly disappointed their fans. They were fighting only in the first set and it looked like match was going to take longer, but polish champion didn’t give up and quickly finished this game and took a revenge for Polish Cup.

AZS Olsztyn – Siatkarz Wielun 3-0  (25:14, 25:21, 25:18) MVP: Wojciech Winnik
Before this meeting, predictions were varied, but hardly no one expected this result. AZS Olsztyn played nice game and they are very close to get their plan done – those three points were like a big step into play off zone. It was great Wojciech Winnik’s show (about 70% in attack, 23 points). Wielun has a reasons to worry. This team will have to focus and improve their performance, if they still dream about staying in PlusLiga for the next season.

AZS Czestochowa – Delecta Bydgoszcz  2-3 (25:23, 20:25, 23:25, 25:16, 9:15) MVP: Grzegorz Szymanski
It was the only one interesting match of this round. It was difficult to point the winner and five sets long game only confirmed this. Fantastic show of the young middle blockers (Piotr Nowakowski and Lukasz Wisniewski) may be their key to national team, because Daniel Castellani has arrived to watch this match. Although Bydgoszcz was leading 2:1, Grzegorz Wagner’s team was able to get a tie break. The last part was lucky for the guests. Grzegorz Szymanski, polish spiker, seems to think about national team again.

Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle – AZS Warszawa 3-0 (25:19, 25:17, 25:18) MVP: Michal Ruciak
The situation of AZS Warszawa is getting worse. Fans have to admit, that those players were fighting very hard, but it wasn’t enough for much better hosts from Kedzierzyn. It’s not going to be easier on the following days. Warszawa will play with Czestochowa. Actually, for this moment, qualification to play off is almost impossible, but everything can happen, like in any other sport.

Jastrzebski Wegiel – Jadar Radom 3-0 (25:19, 25:23, 28:26) MVP: Pedro Azenha
No suprises. Because of small injury of Robert Prygiel (main spiker of Radom), his team was even weaker. Roberto Santilli, (head coach of Jastrzebie) decided to give Pedro Azenha a chance for a long time game. It’s a brazilian player and polish fans could not watch him very often after he had come to PlusLiga. Now, he appeared on a court and didn’t disappoint. Typical Brazilian character helped to get friendly with fans. Jadar Radom is on the 9 place right now and it also gonna be tough to get better.
