A fundraiser has been started for former ECW star Sabu (Terry Brunk) to have hip surgery.

The fundraiser on GoFundMe.com was started by Sabu’s friends trying to raise money for hip surgery that will help Sabu walk normally again.

Donations will be used for pre-operational procedures, the surgery, and post-op physical therapy.

“Once all medical procedures have been completed, Sabu will attempt to return to the ring. However, until this return, his earnings will cease due to being unable to complete as he has become accustomed to,” the fundraiser reads.

Organizers say Sabu’s left hip “has been excruciation over the past few years,” leaving unable to sleep and walk normally.

Donations are being accepted through to September. The goal is to have surgery at the end of September/beginning of October depending on the surgeon’s schedule.
