It does not get much more Texas than the Peggy Sue BBQ in Dallas. The walls are littered with fading pictures of the city’s sports teams and celebrities in stetsons.
The tables are covered with red checkered cloths and horse shoes are dotted around the room. In one corner hangs a giant metal star – a reminder of the Lone Star state.
Craig, a 55-year-old Texan here for some late lunch, is a Ted Cruz guy. He thinks the Republican senator, who was up for re-election on Tuesday, deserves another six years.
“He is very intelligent,” said Craig, wearing a white ‘Texas’ shirt and a baseball cap. “He knows the law, he’s a lawyer. He’s been doing it a long time.”
