Brock Lesnar to UFC Update, News on MITB Main Event, Massaro

In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 34, talks of Brock Lesnar leaving WWE to return to UFC intensified. It seemed like a guarantee that Lesnar would lose the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns that night and then make his MMA comeback. Much to the surprise of fans, Lesnar retained his title and re-signed with WWE for an unspecified amount of time. Speculation on Lesnar’s future in WWE still remains wide open, and after UFC 225, UFC President Dana White confirmed that he is still interested in signing Lesnar to a deal. White told TMZ Sports that Lesnar and Jon Jones are interested in fighting each other, but both fighters would have to wait until USADA deems them eligible to compete again.

One of the most intriguing matches that has been confirmed for WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view is the match between Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax. The match will be Ronda’s first televised singles match, and Jax will be putting her Raw Women’s Championship on the line. While the show will also feature two Money in the Bank ladder matches and a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, it looks like Rousey vs. Jax will be the match that will close out the show. Cageside Seats reports that the company is currently planning to have the Raw Women’s Championship bout serve as the main event for Money in the Bank this Sunday.

Fans of WWE during the “Ruthless Aggression” era may remember a Diva by the name of Ashley Massaro. Ashley first made a name for herself by winning the Diva Search competition back in 2005 before working on the WWE roster for three more years. Massaro no longer competes for WWE, but she still keeps in touch with her fans on social media. The former WWE Superstar revealed on Instagram earlier this week that she is currently in the hospital to have kidney surgery. Massaro has since updated her fans by informing them that the surgery was successful and that she is beginning to feel like herself once again. Check out Massaro’s full statement posted down here.
