Ring Of Honor recently held their ROH: War Of The Worlds 2017 PPV and television tapings in New York City and Philadelphia, respectively, over the weekend.
During the ROH TV tapings in Philly, there was a match between former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Kushida and ROH TV Champion Marty Scurll for the ROH TV Championship where we saw Kushida defeat Marty Scurll to become the brand new ROH Television Champion.
There have been some talks within the ROH Management and Higher-Ups for a while now that once Kushida would enter ROH he would start with a bang and he would immediately get a top-level push. What a better way to do it by right away winning the ROH TV Title at the tapings in Philly this past weekend.
