— According to both Wrestling Observer Radio and PWInsider.com, Goldberg’s new opponent for WrestleMania 36 is indeed Braun Strowman. Roman Reigns – as reported – is out of the event after he made the call himself to not wrestle due to being immunocompromised. The Observer notes that Reigns was actually in Florida at the Performance Center and his decision to pull himself out of the match had to do with The Miz being sick.
— The Observer also adds that there should be an angle shot tonight on Friday Night Smackdown to explain why Strowman is in the match and Reigns out. Even though Smackdown was already taped from before, once Reigns’ absence was confirmed, something was no doubt shot on Thursday.
