Ronda Rousey’s WWE signing continues to get coverage from the mainstream media.
Dan Gelston of The Associated Press published an article on Rousey signing with WWE featuring comments from WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross, Bayley and ProWrestling.net writer Jason Powell.
In the article, Bayley commented about the Women’s Revolution in WWE, which started with herself and other women wrestlers in NXT, and how Rousey’s signing is the culmination of all that has gone into it.
“Finally when NXT wrestlers started joining WWE, we were all able to put it together and make magic,” said Bayley. “It’s been a long time coming. They’ve been waiting for a women’s revolution.”
“Good Ole’ J.R.” focused on the business side of things, touching on the many ways WWE has to market a star the magnitude of “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.
“There’s a lot of ways to market Ronda Rousey,” said J.R. “I think her love of the wrestling business and the sizzle that comes with it for WWE is something she’s very interested in. I don’t think it’s a payday issue as much as it’s a new adventure.”
