During his latest X-Pac 12360 Podcast, Sean Waltman talked about a range of topics within WWE right now including the stock prices rising.
WWE’s Fox deal:
“It’s going to be live. I’m saying that as though it’s a fact but I think I’m pretty safe to go out on a limb there and say it’s going to be live. Who wants to pay that much money for a taped show? Now, the Friday house show is just SmackDown and that’s the way it is and I think that’s just fine actually.”
Stock prices rising:
“And the stock price went through the roof. Not that I’m still in it, I’ll just say that right away. When the initial public offering happened in 1999. There were twelve people that were granted stock options like talent and that. I was fortunate enough to be one of them. I was granted 30,000 shares of stock. It went up to $30 a share pretty quick but what they did is I couldn’t exercise the options for like two years and then the XFL they took care of that.”
Owen Hart tribute:
“I had an excellent tag match on that show (Over The Edge) and it doesn’t really matter because you know everything done on that show was eclipsed and overshadowed by the tragic passing of our friend. When these types of anniversaries come up and our friends are no longer here, it makes us have fond memories, hopefully. And I have tons of fond memories of Owen I could do a whole show. So today I just wanted to remind everyone, so I sent a tweet out sharing a match that I had with Owen on RAW… It was a really good match so I decided to share it with everyone today. I hope you all enjoy it… We love you Owen and obviously, you’re so missed it’s not even funny.”
