The Rock recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet to promote his new movie “Rampage”, and during the interview, which also features Rock’s “Rampage” co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Van Vliet brought up WrestleMania in New Orleans.
Van Vliet noted that after the interview he is heading to NOLA for WrestleMania, and he will see The Rock there, to which Rock responded with “you will not see me there”. You can watch the full interview above.
As noted, there was a pitch in place for The Rock to do some type of concert segment with Elias at WrestleMania 34, however when WWE could not receive a firm commitment from The Rock regarding an appearance at the event, the planned segment was scrapped.
While The Rock’s claiming he will not be at WrestleMania 34 does not necessarily guarantee The Great One will not make an appearance, as talents have thrown fans off before, Rock has been making the media rounds in support of “Rampage” lately, and seems to have a jam-packed media schedule:
😝 I usually always just speak off the cuff and with no script..
