Austin Aries Suffers Injury, Pulled From Event
Former WWE star Austin Aries was scheduled to face Sean Carr for the Xcite Wrestling Championship on December 30th, but due to injury Aries will not be appearing on the card. The promotion issued the following statement via Facebook:

“We pride ourselves on being as transparent and as open as possible. So we wanted to let everyone know that we were informed this week that over the holiday weekend, Austin Aries suffered an injury. While its improving by the day, we wanted to wait until he got the final word from his sports therapist on whether he could still go or not. In our discussion with him, the last thing we wanted to do is have him perform and get further injured, and he did not want to perform for you if he couldn’t go to the level of performance he prides himself on. After meeting with his doctor, it was determined he should not perform. Trust me, when I say myself, Xcite Wrestling, and Austin are incredible let down by this. While he will not be here, he has promised to appear in 2018.
So where does this leave us. The show is most definitely still on. The VIP is still a go with Jimmy Jacobs and Kevin Kelly. We have added Impact Wrestling Superstar Braxton Sutter and a couple other things up our sleeves as a make good. He will also be taking part in the VIP session.
