Ligue 1 side Rennes this evening confirmed the arrival of club record signing and 18-year-old Belgian attacker Jérémy Doku for €26m + bonuses with a sell-on fee clause included in the deal from Anderlecht.

Rennes President Holveck had the following to say on the deal:

“This was an important signing for us. We see that the team is already in a good way and we hope that these final signings will bring a supplement that will allow us to stay in the top places in the league and do well in the Champions’ League. Jérémy Doku is on the radars of all the biggest clubs. Rennes are capable today of fighting amongst them. For Jérémy, this is a fantastic step.”
