Johnny Gargano has Tweeted about his betrayal of Tommaso Ciampa on NXT. Johnny Wrestling said that it was a long road to get here but that it’s “good to be back.”

The turn came on the March 13 edition of NXT, after DIY’s match against Aleister Black and Ricochet in The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Gargano and Black lost that match and Johnny was selling his left knee during the last part of the bout.

Gargano had to be helped up the ramp by his wife Candice LeRae and Gargano. But the moment suddenly took a shocking turn when Ciampa was ready to send Gargano into the LED board at the top of the stage. But Johnny reversed it and finally got his revenge from Ciampa’s betrayal in 2017.

Now DIY is over once again. But the impending war between the two men will have to wait as Ciampa is on the shelf recovering from neck surgery. DIY had reunited and actually debuted on WWE’s main roster together but now it appears as though the company is portraying all of that as nothing more than a ruse on Gargano’s part.

The move does seem logical, especially since Gargano never really heeled out on anyone to the point of no return. The only one he fooled was Ciampa and now that plan has finally come to fruition.
