Jerry Lawler recently talked about Jim Ross’s future on the most recent episode of Dinner With the King. Ross has officially finished up with WWE and the Hall of Fame announcer’s immediate future has been the subject of much online speculation over the past week.

Rajah.com recently reported the rumor that Ross was on the verge of signing a multi-year contract with AEW. Ross has yet to confirm that rumor and apparently Lawler didn’t know that.

Jerry said that Jim was indeed moving on to bigger and better things, which includes making “probably more money than he’s ever made before in his life.” But when asked about what that meant, The King was a bit confused.

“He didn’t elaborate yet? His whole announcement was that he’s through with WWE? He didn’t mention his future plans? Oh, I see.”

Of course this does not mean that Ross is indeed heading to AEW. But considering the fact that the new promotion has serious money to spend, it could be that an announcement from Ross is coming sooner rather than later.
