During a recent Q&A conducted via PWInsider.com, the question was asked as to why Impact Wrestling allows it talents to work anywhere they want, with talents popping up in Ring of Honor, Lucha Underground and various independent promotions.
PWInsider explained that Impact allows it talents to work elsewhere because the company cannot afford to pay talents salaries which would keep them exclusive to Impact. The report furthers Impact retains the priority when it comes to TV tapings, which is why talents do not miss Impact tapings in favor of other promotion’s tapings or live events.
As noted, Impact World Champion Austin Aries will be facing Kenny King at Friday’s ROH Best in the World PPV, and notable talents such as Sami Callihan and Johnny Impact are both regular Lucha Underground performers.
